Mowed lawns, worked in garden. Bill and Billie down to
Herbert’s to help hay tonight. Dorothea came up a few minutes, a very nice day.
Kail went home.
Friday, July 9, 1954
Cloudy, some light showers. I finished up the garden.
Cleaned up the house. Brud and Verna and Nola Raye called in p.m.
Saturday, July 10, 1954
Herbert began mowing today. Rita came up at noon and got
him. A wonderful day.

Hayed all day here. Vern here for dinner.

Billie home and they got in five loads of hay.

Quite hot. Mowed some lawns. Holly helped. She was here for
supper. Dorothea here too. Got a shower. Herbert raked up the scattering’s. Got
our first letter from Betty today.
