Sunday, October 10, 1954
Fair and warm. We went to Mass today up to Brud’s. Left
about 10 got up there at about 1 o’clock. Bill, Evelyn, and Bobby took us up.
Had a good time and nice trip. In p.m. Brud and Verna took us to Andover,
Lawrence, and Salem etc. It was lots of fun. They have a very nice home. Nola
Raye is so cunning.
Monday, October 11, 1954
Cloudy, quite warm. Verna, Nola Raye and I went up to Stoneham
town to do some shopping, mail letters etc. Bill home. Cleared in p.m.
Tuesday, October 12, 1954
Nice day. Brud and Verna took us into Boston and to all of
the interesting places, Mystic River Bridge, Logan Airport, down Washington
Avenue, by North station, Boston Gardens, Harvard College, WBZ radio station.
Had a very nice trip and good time. Very interesting. Awful hot.
Wednesday, October 13, 1954
Nice day. Bill went to the Lahey Clinic with Brud in Boston.
Told him he had gout. I called up home tonight.
Thursday, October 14, 1954
Bill went into Boston with Brud to go to the clinic. Got
medicine and put onto a special diet. Verna ironed, I washed up her floors for
her. Nice day. Threats of Hazel coming.
Friday, October 15, 1954
Cloudy. Threats of the Hurricane Hazel coming. Verna and I
went over to Woburn in a.m. shopping. Bill stayed home with Nola Raye. In p.m.
we get ready to come home. Left at 6:30 PM got home about 10:30. Had good time.
They were so good to us.
