Cooked, did regular work. Billie still sick. Bill and I went
to town. Jack called in eve.
Sunday, January 13, 1946
Wind blowed awful hard and the lights went out. Awful cold
and windy all night. Dolores called and Kennie came up today.
Monday, January 14, 1946
I washed. A very cold day. Bill didn’t work over to Jim’s.
Billie home sick. Went down to the Dr. Davis’s tonight. Bill and Milan cleaned
out little chicks.
Tuesday, January 15, 1946
Goden and Sally called and Jack this p.m. Very cold. Goden
and Sally came last night.
Wednesday, January 16, 1946
Billie back-to-school. Did regular work. Milan helped me
with the chicks.
Thursday, January 17, 1946
Did regular work. I did the chicks today.
Friday, January 18, 1946
Nice day. Cold. Billie home with bad ear. Milan didn’t work
at mill tonight. Smart kids down in p.m. Ken and Dolores and Jack and Red
Chandler called in eve.
