Nice day. Billie went to town got haircut. Lloyd called in
eve. Milan worked at Charlie’s fueling station.
Sunday, February 24, 1946
Milan down to Robbins station again today. Dolores and
Kennard called.
Monday, February 25, 1946
1600 baby chicks came today. I washed. Very cold today. Kids
back to school. Bill still home with lame foot.
Tuesday, February 26, 1946
Helped with chicks. Nice day. I ironed. Velma had to pay $55
for stolen chickens. Brud arrived in China.
Wednesday, February 27, 1946
Cloudy. Milan gone to Portland today. Haven’t done much
today. Betty’s tractor came today.
Thursday, February 28, 1946
Very nice day. Didn’t do much work. Washed kitchen floor.
Gave Betty bath.
Friday, March 1, 1946
In like a lamb. Betty didn’t have any bottle today or
tonight. Bill, Dorothea and I went down to Mr. Grovers. Very nice day. Mr.
Murray came.
