Washed. Very nice day. Bill home. Billie went to see if he
could sell his white heads.
Tuesday, September 6, 1955
Clear, kind of cool. Went to town and mailed Dorothea’s
first semester tuition fee $250. I picked all the big cukes. Dorothea ironed.
Wednesday, September 7, 1955
Very nice day. Dorothea, B., and I went to Portland to see
Dr. Gordite for a check up on D’s eyes. School began today. Betty began
entering the seventh grade. Sent $300 to F. L.B.
Thursday, September 8, 1955
Washed and churned.
Friday, September 9, 1955
Dorothea up to the dentist up to Bethel. Dolores went with
us. Did some shopping. She had some filled. We called up to Os Abbotts. A very
good day.
My mother was the youngest in her family and my grandmother died on her birthday. Even though I was young I remember my Grammie Cox very well.
