Churned. Did other work. Nice day. Mama came home from the
Abbott’s. Bill, Betty and I downtown in eve. Dorothea been at Barbara’s all
day.
Sunday, October 10, 1948
Nice day. Bill helped Kennard saw wood. Billie took our red
cow up to Dick’s.
Monday, October 11, 1948
Rained. Bill home. We went to town. He worked down cellar. I
washed.
Tuesday, October 12, 1948
Bill home. Rained all forenoon. Kids and I up to Aunt Ava’s
for supper.
Wednesday, October 13, 1948
Helped Blanche. Ironed some. Aunt Ava finished it. Apples
came. Bob moved his things. Hoods came for our first eggs. 51 dozen.
Thursday, October 14, 1948
Washed today. Ironed tonight. Been a nice day. Bill and Val
worked downstairs tonight. Canned cauliflower and made mustard pickles.
Friday, October 15, 1948
Cleaned up the house. Winnerd the beans.
