Hot. Canned corn. Ruby Hill up here. Bill and I went to town
in eve.
Sunday, August 22, 1948
Bill and Uncle Lewis got our new cow at Yarmouth, also nice
six month old heifer bought off Eleanor. We went in eve looking for chickens.
Monday, August 23, 1948
Washed. Nice hot day.
Tuesday, August 24, 1948
Delores came home. I ironed in eve. Bill down to Milan’s in
eve.
Wednesday, August 25, 1948
Hot. We canned. Wirt Cannell died. Bill down to help Milan.
Delores called in a.m. Kennard sick.
Thursday, August 26, 1948
Very hot. I washed. We all went up to Raymond Gammon’s
poultry farm.
Friday, August 27, 1948
Another hot day. Canned. I got my new breadbox.
