Nice day. Goden worked here. Harold Penley called. Milan 26
years today and called Mama from New York.
Sunday, July 22, 1945
Mama up here today. Bill, Goden and Ilan worked on the barn.
Billie led the Guernsey cow up to Del C. (Chadbourne) Holstein bull.
Monday, July 23, 1945
I washed, kind of cloudy. Goden and Ilan worked on the barn.
Holstein cow calved. Hauled one load of logs today. Bill drawed $100 from Les
Thomes.
Tuesday, July 24, 1945
Rayburn came up yesterday. They begun to work on timber in
back of house. Hauled three loads from way down. Milan phoned from Monson.
Wednesday, July 25, 1945
Nice day. I worked outdoor mowing grass etc.
Thursday, July 26, 1945
Move chicks out onto range. Mama came home from Aunties or
Fern and Lloyd’s new home. Began haying.
Friday, July 27, 1945
Finished up the new barn. Move chicks on the range. I
washed. Nice day. Rayburn went home this morning.
