May 3 - 6, 1969


Saturday, May 3, 1969

Clear, cloudy, windy and cold. Got up at regular time. Sat out some shrubs we got Portland. In p.m. Bill and I went to Portland, got paint and curtain for breezeway. We called at Dorothea’s. Billie worked for Lawrence. Fern up for supper. Bill painting outside of house.



Sunday, May 4, 1969

Cold. Got up about 7:30 AM. Did up the regular work and made a pie. Cooked dinner. Dorothea and family called. After supper we had Aunt Ava over for her birthday cake. Her birthday is Tuesday. Bill painted on the house and the blinds.



Monday, May 5, 1969 Very cold

A very nice sunny and clear day, but very windy. And on the cold side. We did up the work and went to Zayres and took the paint back and swapped it. Called at Dorothea’s and went out to see where Walt works. Came home, washed, got supper.



Tuesday, May 6, 1969

A very windy cold day. We washed again. It was so cold and windy. I ironed etc. In evening I took Carmen over to June’s and got her hair cut. Billie took kids and I over Maple Ridge to see the deer.
