Thursday, November 16, 1961

A nice day. I washed, the clothes dried good. I got them in and ironed. Betty been doing some writing and reading. Billie got new shoes tonight.

Friday, November 17, 1961

Cloudy this a.m. Cleared off in p.m. Betty and I got the house all cleaned up and ready for Mike. Hope he does come. Mr. Smith came to see the Betty’s horse. Bill, Betty and I went to Portland and meet Mike. He was so pleased to see his wife. Betty was to see him. He looked so nice.

Saturday, November 18, 1961

Cold. Well, Mike did come. He is so pleased to get home to see Betty. They went downtown in a.m. Awful cold. In p.m. Bill and I took them to Auburn. Ted Clawson got shot by his brother.

Sunday, November 19, 1961

I got the work done up. Got an early dinner. Mike and Betty didn’t get back until after Mike had left. Bob, Ava and I went to see Blanche. She is quite sick tonight.
