Cooler, cloudy and showers in a.m. I defrosted and cleaned deep-freeze. Dorothea finished up down to the camp.

Dorothea came home today for a little while. She is all upset. Very unhappy and mixed up.

Dorothea came home today, Barb came with her. She is very unhappy. Betty very naughty.

Sunday, August 29, 1954

Mama came home from Ferns. We picked beans and blueberries today. Dorothea moved the bathtub in. Dorothea still unhappy. Betty very naughty today.

Monday, August 30, 1954

Not a very good day, but I washed. Made out a order. Dorothea decided to go back.

Tuesday, August 31, 1954 Bad One Carol Hurricane

A very bad hurricane today. All power shut off. Lot of damage. Billie and Betty did a lot of fixing up to get ready for the storm. Joan’s baby born today.
