Fair. Cooked, washed windows and floor in kitchen. Aunt Ava and Uncle Lewis over to watch Big Top on TV at noon. We went to town.

Sunday, August 22, 1954

Very nice day. Mama went over to Os Abbott’s with Aunt Ava and Lewis. Bill and Billie put up the electric fence.

Monday, August 23, 1954

Nice day. Washed, went down and got Donnie’s haircut.

Tuesday, August 24, 1954

Ironed, picked peas and string beans. Churned 7 ½ pounds of butter.

Wednesday, August 25, 1954

Very nice hot day. Cooked a little. Betty’s parakeet got away. Kennard called in eve.
