It rained some today. Bill didn’t work. He worked in the new henhouse.

Cooked. Bill sawed wood. Kennie came up to see about toilet seat.

Monday, September 20, 1948

Showers. Bill worked part of day. Up to Ray Gammon’s in eve.

Tuesday, September 21, 1948

Made mincemeat. Took Mama down to Milan’s to stay all night. Bob and Joy called in eve. Bob shelled beans.

Wednesday, September 22, 1948

Bill and I took Kennie and I to Portland. Nice day.

Thursday, September 23, 1948

Wash. Canned 16 jars tomato mincemeat. Mama down to Dot and Mina’s. Billie called.

Friday, September 24, 1948

Mama away today. I ironed. Blanche called. Betty got through school today. Cool today but fair.
