April 24 - 30, 1948 Uncle Sulmore Very Sick

Saturday, April 24, 1948

Very nice hot day. Dorothea came home from Ferns with two new dresses. Sara came up with her. Bill and I and kids to town in eve.

Sunday, April 25, 1948

Nice day. Bill’s father and mother up. We went over to Bob’s, up to Jim’s. Bill and Billie did a little work.

Monday, April 26, 1948

I did a big wash. Very nice day. Blanche called. I went over to Aunt Linnie’s in p.m. Mama and Betty up to Kennard’s in eve.

Tuesday, April 27, 1948

Began at Ferns today. We cleaned attic, shed chamber, back hall and her back bedrooms. Fair,not too cold. Blanche took Joy to hospital.

Wednesday, April 28, 1948

Uncle Sulmore very sick. We cleaned Uncle Os’s room and Es’s room. Bill, Mama and I over to Uncle Sulmore’s in eve. Blanche down to see Joy. Moved hens out.

Thursday, April 29, 1948

Cloudy. We cleaned Sara’s and Fern’s bedroom.

Friday, April 30, 1948

A rainy day. Fern and I cleaned up her upstairs hall and bathroom. I came home a little early and Mama and I cooked. Bill didn’t work in p.m.
