Monday, December 10, 1973 Bill didn’t work
It cleared off very nice and mild. Betty and I to Portland
to shop. Bill did not work, the man he works for was to come and see him. He
called him and said he would send his check as soon as he got back to
Massachusetts. We called at Dorothea’s. She was upset about Jeff going to
Michigan for Christmas. Today Bill went over his lot which Jean has willed to
him.
Tuesday, December 11, 1973 Bill worked
A beautiful day, on the cool side. I washed, went down to
Betty’s a little while. She took Zak to school. Esther was down there. Betty
wrapped presents. Cleaned hens.
Wednesday, December 12, 1973
Another nice day. Betty called. We had lunch. Betty went to
town. Bill did not get paid today.
Thursday, December 13, 1973 Bill finally got paid $220
I went to town with Betty after I washed. Bill’s check came
and I took it and went to town and paid all the bills. Insurance, light bills,
telephone, oil etc. Esther over here in evening. I ironed after supper.
