Thursday, June 25, 1970

A nice day. It was kind of hazy in early a.m. Betty, kids and I over to Norway in forenoon. Betty got some bras. I didn’t get anything. I have no more money. In p.m. I went down to Betty’s to stay with the kids while she and Esther went to town. We had a steak cookout tonight. It was awful windy and on the cool side. Hortons, Demings, Yates and Crooks. Kids played ball. Bill and Walt darts.

Friday, June 26, 1970 cloudy during the day

It was nice and sunny in early morning. It clouded up during day and became cold. Es up today and down to Betty’s. They made Italian sandwiches. All had supper up here. Walt and Betty didn’t come. Walt didn’t feel too good. Bill, kids, Esther and I went to town after supper. Billie C don’t feel good tonight, has a bad back. Jeff played with Randy in a.m., with Billie D and Carmen and Kim in p.m.

Saturday, June 27, 1970 RAIN RAIN RAIN

We had rain last night and today after very dry hot weather for over 4 weeks. Done regular work. Billie and I took Jeff home today. We went to O’Donnell’s and got a yellow rosebush. Dorothea’s house looks so nice inside and out. Bill has worked on his car all day. Billie Deming helped him. Billie C gone with Lawrence. Walt worked. Es and Fern at Betty and Walt’s. Mike married.

Sunday, June 28, 1970

A beautiful day, on the cooler side. Done up regular work. Bill and Billie mowed lawns etc. Bill worked in garden. We had a cookout at Betty and Walt’s, a very good meal.
