Monday, June 22, 1970

Cloudy in a.m. It soon cleared. I checked over all my bills, bank records etc. As of this morning Bill begins to handle all the financial part of the business. He don’t trust me anymore and said I squandered his money and I don’t know enough to pay bills or how to save. So he took all the money this morning. He got mad at me for something I did not say, but he don’t believe me so he is mad because he believes what other people say. Jeff came up tonight with Walt for a few days.

Tuesday, June 23, 1970

Fair and hot. Jeff watched TV and relaxed most of forenoon. I made two pies and defrosted one refrigerator. Washed, done regular work. Jeff and I down to Betty’s. Jeff and Billie helped Betty. I helped Kimmy water plants, also Jeff helped. Betty and I picked some strawberries. Betty got a very pathetic letter from Susan. I don’t know what she is going to do. Jeff and Bill swimming in p.m. I hope and pray someday Susan will have a happy life and home.

Wednesday, July 24, 1970

A very nice hot day. I done regular work. Es came up to spend the day. I made a cake. We made a potato salad and Es made a string bean casserole. We talked, Betty and kids here. Billie and Jeff mowed lawns at Betty’s. Stan not very good.
