Tuesday, December 23, 1969
Went down to Betty’s. We have a lot of snow. Bill worked
last night all night. Betty made cookies. We made popcorn balls. She went to
town. I came home, wrapped some gifts. I ironed and washed today.
Wednesday, December 24, 1969 Oil
Clear and cold. I rushed around, got my work done and went
down to Betty’s. I made two custard pies first. Betty and I cleaned up her
house, washed windows, made preparations for Christmas. Cleaned woodwork,
washed floors etc. It looked real good after we got done. I came home, wrapped Bills
gifts that had just come. Made a pecan pie, loaf of Graham nut bread. Got
supper. After supper Betty’s folks came and Fern. We had our Christmas gifts.
After that we went over to Aunt Ava’s and down to Fern and Lloyd’s. Had a good
time. I came home, made my bread. Got to bed at 2:30 AM. Betty’s gift came
today from Sears. A (?) draw safe from Walt.
