A nice day. We didn’t do much. Sat outside. Billie worked for Lawrence.

We washed and cleaned up the house. My leg quite lame today.

Tuesday, August 26, 1969

A good day. I picked shell beans and canned them. Had some for supper. Betty ironed and shelled beans for me. Went to town. I made a pie. Betty and Walt down to Stanford’s in evening. They want to move this weekend.

Wednesday, August 27, 1969

A beautiful day. Clear and cold. We made ROOT BEER. Dorothea and Jeff came up, they had Conant kids. She got some shell beans. I froze some today.
