Tuesday, December 26, 1967

A nice day, on the cool side. Betty and Walt didn’t get up very early. Walt kind of nervous. They got ready and went back about 2:30. Carmen cried, she didn’t want to go. The dog didn’t either. They were all happy after they got home. Betty called on the phone. We all had a nice Christmas but all pooped, quite exciting. Gordon here after supper, they finished the kitchen ceiling.

Wednesday, December 27, 1967

It has been very cold. A nice day. Joy and girls came over and we went down to Dorothea’s, but she wasn’t at home. We waited around, called at Ellen Greens and came back and still she isn’t there. Got home about one, had lunch here. After they went I did my housework. Carmen and Kim got a $20 from their father of their flesh and blood.

Thursday, December 28, 1967

Cloudy all day and light snow. Gordon here, he finished the ceiling in the living room and did the hall ceiling. I done up the housework, ironed, took care of Christmas things such as candy dishes, baking, serving etc. It began snowing hard in p.m. Gordon had to go plow, also Bill went to work after supper. Bob and Bill Stanford called.

Friday, December 29, 1967

Still cloudy, wind blowing and snowing some. Bill out all night, came home, hauled Billie into the road and get his lunch. Had breakfast. I wrote letters and will try to get this diary up to date. Jeff and Nona called. I talked with Betty. All are well and happy. Carmen sick the other night. Gordon didn’t work, he had to plow snow.
