Monday, May 17, 1965

A rainy day. I cleaned in the kitchen. Fern, Lloyd called. Betty and Mike slept all day. Bill painted screens after supper. I got Es and Dorothea’s letters off today.

Tuesday, May 18, 1965

Rained all day. I finished the KITCHEN. A nice rain for past two days for strawberry plants. Betty and Carmen called at Ferns after supper. I’m so glad that kitchen is done.

Wednesday, May 19, 1965

I vacuumed, cleaned up the house. I did some of my odds and end jobs. Kennard came down and got some dandelions. I got some for supper also.

Thursday, May 20, 1965

After a rainy period of several days it cleared off and became nice and sunny. I got my machine back. It didn’t work any better. It hit my hand. I washed all day long. Brud called this evening.
