Tuesday, February 2, 1965
A nice day and sunny in p.m. I done a general cleaning with
vacuum cleaner. Betty mad, no patience. Bill tried to see Mr. Foster. Betty and
I called at Ferns in evening and Carmen. Billie came later, picked me up. Snaps
came back. Mama went to hospital one year ago today.
Wednesday, February 3, 1965
Cold again and clear. Done regular work. Cooked a dite. Made
a turkey pie. Asked Jean up, she is sick, unable to come. I ironed. No house
report today.
Thursday, February 4, 1965
Another nice zero temperature day. I done my regular work. Sent
Cliff’s card. Shampooed hair, took a bath. Mike home today. Bill at the bank to
see Mr. Foster. Betty and Mike took Carmen out for a ride. Lil lost her
dog today, he got run over by a car.
Friday, February 5, 1965
Carmen two years old. Partly cloudy, clear in a.m. I done my
regular work. Cold today. We made preparations for Carmen’s birthday. We ate
late so Mike could be home. Had Fern up. Carmen was excited and seemed to enjoy
it. She gave us a good time and many laughs. To town before supper. Billie
about sick tonight. Carmen got a lot of nice gifts, ice cream and cake.
