Thursday, July 7, 1964 10 Days (countdown to when Mike comes home)

Billie C gone away. A nice day. I did another wash. Went to town with Esther, Susan and Billie in a.m. Very hot. Susan got her glasses fixed. I came home, picked peas. Got all the clothes in, helped Betty upstairs some. Es here most of the day, in evening Fern, Lloyd, Es and Billie came up. Billie Crook gone away today for a few days visit. I’m glad he has gone. A complete change. Needed a change.

Wednesday, July 8, 1964 9 Days

A very nice hot day. I done up my work. Es and kids called. Fern, Es, and kids all on a picnic over to Woods Pond. I picked strawberries and peas. Esther and Blanche helped. Blanche having trouble at home. I’m sorry for her. She is so good to everyone.

Thursday, July 9, 1964 8 Days

A fair day, kind of a cool East wind. Jeff, Nola, Esther here. I done up my work. Shampooed my hair and colored it. Over to Norway with Es and got pictures. Betty did her  grocery shopping. Bill and I called at Jeans and Gordon’s. Fern, Lloyd and Es and Billie called.

Friday, July 10, 1964 7 Days

To town shopping. Es went with me. She and Billie were here for supper. Billie back from his three-day trip. Had a good time. Blanche gone home out to Kansas for rest and relaxation.
