Mama pretty good today, talked good. Had company. We done our ironing. Bill and I called at Jean and Sally’s.

Wednesday, February 19, 1964

Mama not talking much today, seems to be getting weaker. Kennard called. Fern, Lloyd, Aunt Ava. I done up some housework. Betty and Billie took the dogs and cats to vets. Have lice in their ears. Stitches taken out of dog and Beauty. Billie to Portland to pick up Dave Thomas in Portland after supper.

Thursday, February 20, 1964

Mama very very weak. Betty and I cleaned up the whole house. I cooked a spare ribs supper. Blanche here all night. Betty to school show and down to Bonnie’s.

Friday, February 21, 1964

Partly cloudy, fair in p.m. Kennard called. Lloyd called. In p.m. Aunt Ava, Blanche here in p.m. I done general work. Betty ironed and pressed. Mama very weak today.
