I went to town and Betty took me. We done our shopping for
the Adair’s. Blanche here with Carmen and Mama. In p.m. wrapped some of
Dorothea’s things. After I got home from work I finished wrapping them. Betty
back to town. $49.
Saturday, December 14, 1963
Today we got Dorothea and Denny’s package off to them. Betty
and Lloyd helped me wrap and tie it. I sent the last payment on the seat
covers. Rayburn, Karen and Raymond King called today to get a Christmas tree. I
washed. To work at 3 PM. Betty and I to town shopping this forenoon.
Sunday, December 15, 1963
Not much sleep last night, on the tired sloop this morning.
Got up, got my work pretty well along. Got a chicken dinner. Betty took me to
work, brought Kennie and Dot up. Chet Hatch and Puck Hatch up here for
Christmas trees.
Monday, December 16, 1963
One below zero this morning. I got to washing early. Got it
out before one today. To town early, sent car payment, $2.75 insurance, paid
another one of these darned old lite bills. Sent some cards off, to work at
three.
