Tuesday, December 17, 1963

A cold cold day. 10 below this morning. I finished the cards this morning, got them off. Dave and Dawn called. To work, went to the bank for Billie. Betty took Carmen to the doctors today. She got her second shot.

Wednesday, December 18, 1963

Cleared off nice, then clouded up. Carmen very sick all day. We didn’t get any work done. Blanche came over to stay with Carmen while Betty took me to work. Cloudy in PM.

Thursday, December 19, 1963

Zero this morning, not too cold during the day. Wind came up in p.m. and it got real cold. Betty got Aunt Ava’s tree over to her today, also got one for Aunt Fern and decorated it. I finally got the house gone over today, to work at three. Letter from Dorothea. Wood came, one cord.

Friday, December 20, 1963

A nice day, very cold and windy. I washed. Had to go to town, got Billie’s cards off to Dorothea, Dennis, Jeff and Mike for him. I came home and rushed around to work. Billie got his bills paid up today for the year. He feels so much better. $49.
