Sunday, July 8, 1962

Hot day. Done up the work. Been thinking of Mike, wish he was here. Dot, Kennie and Blanche called, Fern, Lloyd and Charles called. We ate out today. Billie sick. He had distressed feelings in stomach. The awful heat. Went with Lawrence, bred the heifer.

Monday, July 9, 1962 CARDS AND LETTER, RAIN

Hot. Had showers in PM. About 1 inch of rain came. We was so glad to see the rain. I washed. Hot and humid. Most of the clothes dried good before the shower. Betty shampooed hair, picked over some more of her boxes. Betty got two cards from Mike and we get a letter from Adair’s. Jeff had a card come here from Michigan. Blanche brought some plants over in evening. Betty and I called at Ferns in evening.

Tuesday, July 10, 1962

Cleared off. Kay Howard called. Betty got her check and she and Kay to town. I went to town with Fern and Lloyd in a.m. I got rest of clothes in, done up some of the housework. Today Betty got three cards from Mike. Poor kid, he is so home sick. Satellite went up today from Cape Canaveral Florida. It’s being connected (?) with Andover.

Wednesday, July 11, 1962

Cloudy in a.m. BETTY BOUGHT HER a Brand-new TV and stand. Also a hi-fi music box. Over to Norway at Chapmans TV and Appliance Store. Blanche and I went and took her over. I came home, did up some of the housework.
