Thursday, November 23, 1961
Cloudy. Nice day. Warm. Bill cleaned the kitchen stove. We
build fire first time. Used it to help get dinner. Kennie and Dot here for
dinner. Enjoyed them very much. We had chicken, roast pork, gravies, cranberry
sauce, Jell-O salad, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, onions, turnip, shell
beans. Rolls, Graham nut bread, date filled, custard, blueberry, lemon sponge,
date pies, plain whipped cream cake and cream puffs.
Friday, November 24, 1961
Rained all day. I done up the work. After supper Bill and I
to Norway, got Betty’s package at the store. Bill got him a jacket and rubbers.
Betty to town in evening.
Saturday, November 25, 1961
A beautiful day. I done up the work. Cooked, made
preparations for Mike. He came very late in the night. Betty off tonight. I
didn’t expect her to go when she knew Mike was coming.
