Tuesday, May 9, 1961
Rain Rain Rain. I done regular work, ironed. Went to Caleb Fleck’s
funeral. Betty went too. It didn’t rain too much until after the funeral. It
was a sad day. It was a big funeral and a lot a very pretty flowers. Linda here
tonight. $33.
Wednesday, May 10, 1961
Rain again. I done up regular work, got a letter off. Linda
up here tonight.
Thursday, May 11, 1961
Cleared today. I did a big wash, cooked and churned. Clothes
dried good. I cleaned the grain room etc. In evening Blanche and I down to
Jean’s to get some plants. I ironed after I got home. Linda and Betty out
looking for a job. Also called at Mrs. Parker’s. Linda here all night.
Friday, May 12, 1961
Not a very good day. Dolores called. I cleaned the two
downstairs bedrooms. I made a pie. I cleaned up the upstairs room. Betty and
Irene down to Dawn’s tonight.
