Sunday, July 17, 1960

Not too good a day. Raymond called in a.m. Lloyd finished haying. Billie, Betty, Mama and I went for a ride up Waterford way. Fern, Lloyd, Kennie, Dot, Bob and Blanche called. Betty all through up to Irene’s. Her mother has gone to work for her.

Monday, July 18, 1960

Cloudy most all day. I washed and the clothes got dried quite well. Betty down town in evening.

Tuesday, July 19, 1960

Rained all day. Cleared late in evening. We ironed and churned. Betty and I down to Ferns a little while. Betty, Lloyd and Lassie got a woodchuck. Bill fixed TVs tonight. David Nevers called. LLOYD to town on special BUSINESS. They at last got one small break, hope they get another soon too.

Wednesday, July 20, 1960

Another one of those miserable days. I defrosted refrigerator. Cleaned up the chambers. Cleared in late p.m. Betty downtown, got a job at Albert Smith Sr.

Thursday, July 21, 1960

A very nice day. I washed and ironed. Today Mama spent the day with Fern. Betty’s first day at work. She is going to try it out. She drove the car up in the field tonight. Betty at home tonight.
