Tuesday, July 12, 1960 Hot

Another nice hot day. I did the ironing and regular work. Betty came home for supper. She, Bill and I went down to Dawn and George’s after supper. Also over to Harrison and paid insurance. Watched conventions again.

Wednesday, July 13, 1960 Hot

A very hot day. I done up regular work, cleaned up the downstairs. Sent Dorothea’s letter. We had a heavy shower and rained in p.m.

Thursday, July 14, 1960

A cloudy day, some rain. I did a small wash. Cleaned up the chambers. Fern, Lloyd and Os up in p.m. Kennie and Dot up in evening. Lorraine, Dot and Wanda Jean up during a.m.

Friday, July 15, 1960 Churned

A very nice clear day, not hot, just warm and comfortable. Mama over to Aunt Ava’s for her 80^th birthday. I churned for the first time since last winter. I cleaned up the downstairs, did some window washing. Worked on plants and flowers. Betty home tonight for the weekend. Downtown to movies and to see her school friends.

Saturday, July 16, 1960

A beautiful day. MIKE here today. Betty was surprised and glad to see him. Billie built pigpen and got the pig out. Bill and I mowed lawns, cooked a little this morning
