Cloudy. I cooked, baked beans etc. Betty home for supper.
Sunday, August 30, 1959
Cloudy and rainy. Got up kind of late. Done up the work. Had
a late late dinner.
Monday, August 31, 1959 Karen Joyce Smith’s birthday
Rained all day. In a.m. I went to town with Aunt Ava and
Uncle Lewis. Bill didn’t work. Aunt Ava bought a mattress.
Tuesday, September 1, 1959
Cleared off real hot. I washed. Mama down to Ferns for the
day. Betty and Steve up here a while. I churned. Betty got a LETTER from MIKE.
Wednesday, September 2, 1959
I ironed. Cloudy and began to rain about 10 o’clock. Bill
home in early p.m.
