Cleared off today. I churned and washed. Real hot in p.m.
Betty and Georgette called in p.m.
Wednesday, August 26, 1959
Not too hot. I shelled some shell beans. Dolores called. We
got some snaps of the birthday party 49th one from Milan and Betty.
I froze seven boxes shell beans. Betty came home tonight and stayed. Reason?
George was home.
Thursday, August 27, 1959 HOT HOT HOT
Yes, this has been such a hot day. I’ve cleaned the upstairs
up, prepared a cold supper. Betty up here from Dawn’s. Didn’t stay. Sylvia
Andrews called with Avon products.
Friday, August 28, 1959
Not quite so hot. I cleaned up the downstairs. Mama husked
and cut corn off. We canned 10 pints. Betty still up to Dawn’s. Hope someday
she will want to stay at home. Went to town in late p.m. after Bill got home.
