Thursday, May 28, 1959

A very nice hot day. I done some odds and end jobs. Betty to the fashion show tonight, she modeled her new play suit she made at school. I washed.



Friday, May 29, 1959 Bill’s mother Betsy Baxter Creighton Crook’s birthday

A nice day, on the cool side. Aunt Ava called in p.m. I churned and ironed. Shampooed my hair and took a bath. Letter from Es. She will be here next Friday night. Also a letter from Dr. Nash. In evening Bill and I down to the cemetery and Jean’s. Got two wood planters and set out.



Saturday, May 30, 1959

A nice day. On the cold side, some showers. I planted sunflower seeds. Billie didn’t have to work. Betty up to Dawn’s. In p.m. Mike came up.

Cold today. Clear and sunny. Bill planted the garden. Raymond here for dinner. Billie worked at Chet’s.



Monday, June 1, 1959

Cloudy and cold. Blanche and I to Portland today. Today we got a letter from Dorothea.



Tuesday, June 2, 1959

I done some odds and end jobs. The Redfields came today.
