Wednesday, June 3, 1959

Today I cooked, churned also washed in p.m. after it cleared off. Gordon Sanborn came here and hauled the dressing out and harrowed. It came off awful hot.

Thursday, June 4, 1959 Kay Fleck’s birthday

The very nice day. I jumped and leaped all day getting this house cleaned up. Churned, cooked, went to town. In late p.m. Betty came with four girlfriends and they had a cookout. A very good time. Late in evening Kay came. They all slept on the porch.

Also Es, Susan and Billie left Ohio for Maine. They will stay with Brud’s family  til Saturday.

Friday, June 5, 1959 Es called on the phone

Up early this morning, got my doughnuts fried, got the kids breakfast, and off to school. The girls up here last night were Jeannie Dodge, Rowena Robinson, Linda Berry, Linda Rand and Kay Fleck. Today I went over all of the house and brushed up upstairs again. In late p.m. Bill and I to town. Blanche here in evening. Bill lame.

Saturday, June 6, 1959

Esther, Susan and Billie came today. It came off hot. Betty and I mowed lawns. Also today Dr. George Nash called. Fern, Lloyd and Uncle Os up in evening. Also Blanche called. It was good seeing Esther and her two children.
