A very hot day. I washed, sent a card to Dorothea. Betty up to Dawn’s and they all went swimming. A new lady came over to Raymonds to work today.

Friday, July 25, 1958

Another hot day. I cleaned up the whole house and ironed. Betty and Holly swimming. Ilan called today. He and Minnie have another son born early this morning. Bill got brakes fixed on car. To town in late evening.

Saturday, July 26, 1958

Rain. Bill didn’t work. He took Ilan and Holly to Portland to see Minnie’s new son. Betty went too. I cooked, churned and cleaned up the house.

Sunday, July 27, 1958

Rain all day. I didn’t do much, except the regular work. Wrote my letters in p.m. Called at Fern and Lloyd’s in evening. Aunt Ava called in p.m.
