Thursday, October 24, 1957

I did some cooking. Bill home at noon, it rained. We worked on Christmas orders. Dawn called again this p.m. Fern and Lloyd called in evening.

Friday, October 25, 1957

A nice day except cold. I done up the work. Donnie sick. Betty not very good when she went to school. About 11 AM Dawn brought Betty home, she walked as far as the four corners. She was sick with flu. Dawn and Steve up in evening. I went to town the Dawn in p.m. Sent Mama’s Christmas orders. In late p.m. went to town with Bill. Blanche and Dolores left for Pennsylvania and Washington DC.

Saturday, October 26, 1957

Betty very sick all day. Don sick too. I cooked, cleaned up the house, churned, took care of Betty and Donnie. Downtown in early a.m. with Billie. Got some things for Betty. Billie got his MOLASSES today.

Sunday, October 27, 1957

Kind of cold and cloudy in p.m. Dawn called to see Betty, also Holly. Donnie quite sick today. Betty better. We get the storm windows on today. Kennard called. Aunt Ava and Uncle Lewis made a dooryard called.
