A cloudy stormy day. So quiet all day. I churned, cleaned up my desk. In p.m. Billie and I called on Aunt Ava and Uncle Lewis. Betty up to Dawn’s in p.m. Bill got cold.

Thursday, January 2, 1958

School began today. Fair and cold. I did a big wash. Bill helped. In p.m. Norma Wildberger called. Bill went down and got her at town where she works. Ken, Dolores and Dawn called. Very cold and windy in evening.

Friday, January 3, 1958

I made two pies. Did a big ironing. Read papers in p.m. 8 above this morning. Very cold tonight. Betty skating tonight.

Saturday, January 4, 1958 Cold

Very cold last night and all day. Didn’t do much. Regular work. Betty and Lassie walked way down in the woods. Billie worked for Dennis in p.m.
