Saturday, December 7, 1957 Letters from Dorothea

Cloudy and rainy. I churned and cooked. Bill and Kennard worked in the woods cutting Christmas trees. In p.m. it rained hard. Bill and Kennard worked on Bill’s car. Billie got a haircut. Blanche, Bob and Dolores over to Norway, bought chair for Mama’s Christmas. Letter and snaps from Dorothea and Dennis. Very good. First letter for month from Dorothea.



Sunday, December 8, 1957

Cloudy and some foggy. I washed. Cleaned up the kitchen. Washed windows etc. Kennard, Delores, Kennie, Dot, Fern and Lloyd here. Kennard, Bill and Lloyd cut, tied and wrapped Christmas trees. In forenoon Billie helped. Dennis, in p.m, he helped with the trees. Uncle Os called to say goodbye to Donnie.





Monday, December 9, 1957

Another cloudy, rainy and snowy day. I got the clothes in and ironed. Donald did not go. We backed Christmas cards. Kennard called today. Two packages came today. Bill and Kennard didn’t work in the woods. Kennard worked for (?) Edward Wentworth.



Tuesday, December 10, 1957

Another bad day. Donnie couldn’t go. I churned in p.m. Went to town. Bill and Kennard didn’t work in woods.
