Friday, August 16, 1957 Bought my DESK

A nice day on the cool. I didn’t do much. Kay and Helen called. Kay stayed up for the day. Holly called. To town before supper. I got check from Mrs. Ayers $200 paid up to September 6. Billie took me to Norway. I got my desk and chair. Bobbie, Holly, Kay and Betty all went and Lassie too. Donnie sick again tonight. Bought desk at New England Furniture at Norway Maine. Betty got her phonograph.

Saturday, August 17, 1957

Cold and windy. Kay here today, she went home in p.m. They didn’t deliver my desk today, the darn critters. Raymond called in evening and Kennie, Stevie and Holly. Donnie not very bad today.

Sunday, August 18, 1957

Billie worked today. We had chicken dinner. Bill watched ballgame. I wrote letters. Mama went down to call on Mrs. Vance with Fern and Lloyd. Bill and Raymond went down and bought some steel roofing of Leon Bennett at South Bridgton and hauled it home.
