Bill’s father and mother 60^th wedding anniversary. They had anniversary party at (blank). It was a nice day and I washed. Bill came home for dinner. I churned today. Andrews led his cow up to their home tonight. Holly down. Betty’s new birdcage came today. Very pretty. Donnie better. Joy left Portland for Connecticut at Kenneth and Bessie’s.

Wednesday, September 26, 1956

A nice day. Mama not feeling very well. The wheels for Fern’s airway came today. We got a letter from Dorothea.

Thursday, September 27, 1956

A nice day. I cooked some. In p.m. Mama, Aunt Ava, Donnie and I over to Norway to see Os Abbott. He is very bad. We did some shopping. Had a nice ride. Fern didn’t feel very good. Brud’s folks came today. Bill brought home some potatoes tonight.

Friday, September 28, 1956

A very nice day. I churned, cleaned the house up. Billie home at noon and shaved, change shoes etc. Bill brought home some more potatoes. Fern not very good. Betty got her skirt tonight. M & M Bakery cart called today for the last time. Mr. (?) Serebree goes to work for Cushman Baking Company.
