September 20 -24, 1956



Thursday, September 20, 1956

Rained again today. Bill home at noon. I cooked etc.



Friday, September 21, 1956

Quite cold, had an awful frost last night. I get the plants in today. Cleaned up the house some. Raymond here in evening.



Saturday, September 22, 1956

A nice day, a little warmer. I did the regular work. Kay Fleck came up with Betty in p.m. They went up where Bob Smart and Lloyd were hauling out the logs. Edith McAllister called in p.m. We went to town and over to Harrison in eve to pay house insurance at Earl Davis. Donnie sick again.



Sunday, September 23, 1956

A fair morning but it began to cloud up about noon. Fern, Lloyd and Uncle Os came up. They watched the ballgame. We had a hot dog and hamburger cookout. Had to have sweaters on, it was so cold and damp. Andrews finished moving today. Donnie getting sicker.






Monday, September 24, 1956

A rainy day. Bill didn’t work. He went to Norway to see about work no go. He fixed closet in Mama’s room. Donnie sick. Joy to Portland tonight.
