I ironed and churned. Got Dorothea’s package off today. Donnie better today.

Wednesday, October 10, 1956

A very nice day, very cold. Mama up to Delores’s today. Came home in early afternoon. Mrs. Johnson and Mrs. Thomas called to see her. Betty down to Kay’s tonight. Donnie better.

Thursday, October 11, 1956

A nice day. I did regular work. Linda went today. Cindy misses her so much. Donnie good today. Hartley Staley and Wendell Perkin’s place burned today. Cold. Betty to movies tonight. Linda dressed out 495 lbs.

Friday, October 12, 1956

A very nice day. I cleaned up the house. Mama with Aunt Ava’s folks over to Wilton today. Cindy hunting for Linda today. Not quite so cold. Betty, Aunt Linnie and I went up and called on the Andrews family last night in their new home. Donnie good.
