I did not wash today, it rained. Bill didn’t work. I straightened out the writing desk and papers etc. Kay Fleck up here today. They with Jill gone swimming tonight.

Tuesday, July 10, 1956

Good day. Bill worked. I washed, ironed and cooked. Betty down to choir rehearsal. Bill worked late and Billie did too.

Wednesday, July 11, 1956

Another nice hot day. Betty and I walked way down through the woods. Called at Aunt Linnie’s. In p.m. She and I called at Minnie’s. Fern and Lloyd called here in eve.

Thursday, July 12, 1956

I cooked all day. Nice day. Got letters from Dorothea, Es and McCammons. Mama not too good today.

Friday, July 13, 1956

I cleaned up the whole house. Billie mowed some hay in p.m.

Saturday, July 14, 1956

I did up the work. It rained in forenoon and cleared off. Billie mowed the hay. To town in eve. Bill got some new shoes. Raymond, Kennard and Blanche called in eve. Betty and Jill to movies.
