Sunday, July 15, 1956

A fair day. Began to rain in p.m. They got the hay raked and it began to rain. I did regular work. Kennard called in a.m. Mama got cards, money, candy and a plant for her birthday. Had ice cream and cake. Rose and Patty called, also Holly today. Donnie having a spell today.

Monday, July 16, 1956

A good day until p.m. Then showers and rain. I washed in p.m. Billie came home. He, Betty and I shook out the hay and got it ready to be bailed. It rained just before the baler came. Took Donnie over to Dr. Ruby’s tonight. He is still sick.

Tuesday, July 17, 1956

A very cold gray cloudy day. No hay day and hay still out. Donnie quite sick. Jill up in p.m. I ironed.

Wednesday, July 18, 1956

A very nice hay day. I didn’t do much today, held Donnie, he was quite bad today. Betty and Aloha went camping today down by the brook for overnight. Billie raked hay all afternoon. After supper Bill, Billie, Kennard and Raymond got it in after Gordon Sanborn got it baled. Kennard here for supper. Fern’s family called in evening.
