Fogging and cloudy in forenoon. Lonesome all day. Cleaned up the house. Went down to Fern’s with Betty in p.m.

Thursday, August 23, 1956

Did up regular work. Still lonesome. I called Mrs. Ayers. Did regular work.

Friday, August 24, 1956

Cloudy and rain. Mr. and Mrs. Ayers brought Donald home from hospital today. He isn’t any better. Doctors examined him and couldn’t find anything wrong with him. Nerves I guess. Cleared often late p.m.

Saturday, August 25, 1956

A very nice day. I cooked. Wash floors. Donnie still fussing. Betty to town in p.m. Did some school shopping for her tonight. Kay up here all night. Edith and Merle McAllister called in evening. Weldon Brackett and Lida Vitterla married today. Verna and Nola called this p.m.
