August 15 - 18, 1956



Wednesday, August 15, 1956

A nice day. Milan and Betty here most of day. Betty C and Norma Gay played Monopoly. I cleaned up the house and cleaned up the cupboards. Milan and Henry Cox here in evening. Norma Gay here all night. Fern and Lloyd here in evening. Cold.



Thursday, August 16, 1956

A very nice day. Cool and pretty. Milan called to get Norma about noon. Betty and Norma played Monopoly all forenoon. In p.m. Arthurlene Andrews here. Got $115 from Lida today. Letter from Dorothea. Billie hauled home first load of hay from Rothrock’s.



Friday, August 17, 1956

I washed today. Barbara, Uncle Os, Milan, Charlie and Jean called. In p.m. Milan took Mama, Donnie and I and we went over to Stoneham and called at Osma Abbott’s and drove up to the Len Gammon place.



Saturday, August 18, 1956

A very hot humid day. I cooked and cleaned up the house in p.m. Betty went summing and Milan’s folks came for afternoon and supper. Stayed all night. Billie worked late up to Chet’s. Very hot in evening. Donnie sick all day. Began in the past night.
