March 22 - 25, 1956 Billie's Birthday



Thursday, March 22, 1956 Billie’s 25th Birthday

Billie’s birthday. 25. Betty sent for guitar book. Bill went to Portland with Raymond. He went down to hospital for check up. I had a steak dinner for his birthday. Bill brought home Italian Sandwiches we had for supper and ice cream and birthday cake. Billie cleaned out the hens and pig. Bill bought a power saw. Another nice spring day. I churned and cleaned up the house. Jet went away this morning and has not come back.



Friday, March 23, 1956

Another very nice spring day. I cooked, washed windows etc. Bill over to Fryeburg and Twitchell’s at Norway. Jet didn’t come home, Betty found him downtown. Billie and Dennis went after him. It is Jet no more. He was a very intelligent and very nice clean looking dog. I liked him very much. He is buried down here in the woods. Raymond over here all A.M. Don’t look very good.



Saturday, March 24, 1956

Snowing again this morning. Bill and I went to town early. Betty did up the work this morning while I was at town. Billie and Raymond to town and got grain in p.m. Mama came home from Ferns this day.



Sunday, March 25, 1956

A very cold windy day, but a nice clear day. I wrote my letters as usual. In p.m. Charlie and Jean called, Kennie and Dot, Razor Durfee and his boys.
