Saturday, April 30, 1955
Very good day after the rains. I cleaned my room. In p.m.
Bill, Donnie and I went to Portland to get Mama from the hospital. She was
quite good except got tired coming home.
Sunday, May 1, 1955
A very good day, hot. Mama up some. I did a very big wash.
Fern, Lloyd and Uncle Os called, Kennie, Dot and Blanche. Bill and Betty went
fishing and Billie altogether they got 5.
Monday, May 2, 1955
A nice day. I cleaned the back porch. And did the big
ironing. And the curtains up stair and put them up.
Tuesday, May 3, 1955
Very good day. I finished cleaning upstairs. Also cleaned
Donnie’s room. Mama up today, still quite weak. Bob called today. Mama called
Emma Wheeler today to come up to stay while we go to Ohio.
Wednesday, May 4, 1955
Very nice hot day. I cleaned the sitting room. Bill went
fishing again tonight. Billie went over and got his hair cut. Raymond called in
evening. Mama about the same. We ate on the porch for the first time. Kail came
up for tonight.
