Nice day. Bill home in p.m. and he and Val run cement for cesspool. Charlie and Jean up. Dorothea to Joys all day. D. and Betty to J. for party. Kennie got 11 point buck.

Bill, Val and Teddy cemented. Cold and cloudy.

Monday, November 1, 1948

Wash machine belt broke so I cleaned up the kitchen.

Tuesday, November 2, 1948

Voted today Truman was elected for second term. Aunt Ava and Uncle Lewis here in eve. I sat up till 2 AM for returns, longest election in history, was 1 ½ day of it.

Cleaned house.

Thursday, November 4, 1948

I worked cleaning. Rained. Bill worked today, he and I over to Abby Chadbourne’s at night to see her.

Friday, November 5, 1948

“I am still cleaning”. Bill worked. Dorothea stayed at Scouts. Aunt Ava called.
